The Colorado Office of the Attorney General is offering a free conference on the Banking and Financial Industry Requirements under the new Mandatory Reporting of Elder Abuse Law, Senate Bill 111. The conference will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center in Denver, CO with presenters to include state legislators and representatives from the law enforcement, human services, and legal communities. In addition to a keynote address by Colorado Attorney General, John Suthers, the program will cover: Overview and Legal Requirements of Senate Bill 111, Investigation & Prosecution of a Financial Elder Abuse Case (a case study), Identifying & Reporting Different Forms of Financial Exploitation, Neglect and Abuse, and Mandatory Reporting; Federal Privacy Law Implications for the Financial and Banking Industry.
